Abstract

The main objective of this project is to develop a methodology for developing countries on how to collect and estimate costs of improving access to safe water supply and sanitation services. This methodology may be applied at local or country levels. This manual is conceived as a practical guidance to support the implementation of this methodology to carry on water supply projects in rural areas. It explains, systematically, the process by which cost for improved drinking water sources may be estimated.
